The developer specifically addresses this in the patch notes, however, saying: “ future patch will allow modifications to game files, but will not allow users with modded game files to join/host public games (they will still be able to play with friends via invites. Patch 1.3.0 is also not the hotfix Techland says it will provide for those who still wish to modify the game files (for modding purposes,) but don’t want to be falsely flagged up as cheaters in multiplayer.
